What causes Alopecia Areata?

Although many researches had been carried out, Alopecia Areata causes still remain hidden. Although it has been accepted that Alopecia Areata is a type of autoimmune disease, what causes this medical disorder still remains a mystery. The researches however has discovered many important clues as to what the causes might be. While enlightening the dark path, these researches have carved new paths which prove to be lead to a definite answer for this ambigous condition.

Even now no clear cause had been assigned as the root of Alopecia Areata. This has been the main reason why no accurate medication can be prescribed by the medical practitioners. It would be just a matter of time before the cause is confirmed and a medication be developed.

4. EXTENSIVE HAIR STYLING

All of the above had been derived from researches and observations carried on numerous Alopecia Areata patients. These causes, untill lately, had remained hypothetical. For example stress as we all know is a condition that is experienced by a large share of the population. However only 1%-2% of the total world population is affected by Alopecia Areata. This draws many questions, one of which is, whether stress is a cause or the result of Alopecia Areata. It is a fact that a person is evaluated for stress only after and not before getting it.

Meanwhile same situation is experienced in considering drugs and diseases as a cause. This subjective doubt arises when patients suffering from other sickness start experiencing Alopecia Areata on themselves after obtaining certain treatments. There are parties that argue on the fact that the bald spots are noticed after beginning the medication. This has resulted a concern on the actual Alopecia Areata causes.
